Terms & Conditions

All bookings are subject to terms and conditions below. Variations to the T&Cs may happen from time to time and we will advise you of these as necessary. Booking an appointment with Pinkys Purfect Paws indicates you accept the terms and conditions stated below.

Within the T&Cs, all references to ‘you’ or ‘your’ denote the owner, guardian or person responsible for the cat at the time. All references to ‘us’ or ‘we’ or ‘our’ denote Pinkys Purfect Paws Mobile Cat Grooming.

Pricing Quotes

An estimated price will be discussed at time of booking based on our communication and what you have described/disclosed to me however, all prices quoted are a guide. If, however, when we meet your cat, if we find that their grooming needs are different, we will advise you on a revised quotation for the groom. For example, extent of matting or undisclosed or unidentified matting may incur an increase in price.

Deposit and Balance of Payment

On booking an appointment, you will be asked for a deposit of £20 (or the full amount for a claw clip or sanitary trim).  Once the deposit has been taken and the appointment confirmed, the following conditions apply and the deposit will not be refunded if any of the following occur:

  • Cancellation or rescheduling within 48 hours of the original appointment
  • A suitable grooming area is not provided as discussed at booking and the groom cannot go ahead then a mileage fee is still required
  • If the groom has to be abandoned due to excessive aggression or high stress levels, there will be a £10 fee to return to finish the groom if the option is chosen.
  • If the cat is showing signs of pain, illness or injury on the day of the appointment which will prevent the groom from taking place

Cancellation/Rescheduling Appointments

A full reimbursement will be provided for appointments cancelled with a minimum of 48 hours before the scheduled booking.

If rescheduling an appointment, then the deposit will be automatically rolled over to the new appointment date.

Cancellations within 48 hours of the booking appointment date and time will result in the loss of the deposit. This is because most bookings are made months in advance and amendments cause disruption to the booking system and ultimately a loss in earnings. If appointments are cancelled within 48 hours there will be a £20 cancellation fee.

Missed Appointments

Cat guardians are responsible for ensuring that their cat is prepared for the appointment at least 30 minutes before the appointment time. In the event that the owner is not home, or the cat cannot be located within the residence, the groomer will wait 15 minutes and after this time a fee equivalent to the deposit will be requested.

Coat Condition

In the event that your cat needs to be clipped due to matting, you need to be aware that irritation may occur after the shaving process. This can include skin redness, itchiness, or abrasions. Occasionally, small nicks may occur when clipping fur due to the tightness and closeness to the skin. Every care will be taken to prevent this however sometimes this is unavoidable. All shaving can from time to time uncover medical issues such as cysts, embedded ticks, abscesses and other wounds or skin problems. You are giving consent to remove this fur on the understanding that the above can happen. If matting has developed that is tight and close to the skin, then professional grooming clippers will be used to remove these and it is not possible to comb them out. I assess every cat as an individual and will discuss all options with you before any grooming takes place.

Coat clipping can also result in a structural change to the hair. This may result in the coat growing back at a darker colour upon regrowth.

Clipping your cats fur will result in a dramatic change to your cat’s coat. Please be aware that other cats in the household may need time to readjust to the scents of your cat and they may need to be reintroduced slowly and monitored carefully.

Your cat(s) is very important to me and my first concern is the welfare of your cat. Every effort will be made to ensure this experience is as pleasant as possible; however, occasionally grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. Senior cats, kittens and those that are matted or difficult to groom are at greater risk of injury or stress. It must be clearly understood and agreed that where every care and attention is given to your cat, they are accepted at the owners’ risk. In the event of injury or illness, a vet may be sought or advised. Unless it can be clearly shown that we are liable, all costs in connection and the carrying out of this shall be at the owner’s expense.

Please ensure that all cats to be groomed are safe, inside the house and free of any illness or injury before we attend the appointment. On the day, we reserve the right to refuse to groom if your cat is unwell, injured or in pain.

Photography/Advertising

Photographs and sometimes videos of your cat will be taken before, during and after a groom. These may then be used on our social media or other printed materials. Our primary advertising is largely social media where examples of grooms are posted regularly. I will always request your permission at the time of the groom if you are happy for photographs or videos to be used for advertising purposes. I will never sell copies or grant copyright to 3rd parties without your consent. If you would not like your cat’s photographs or videos used, then please let me know at the time of booking.
