Hi, I’m Emma and I am the founder and principal groomer for Pinkys Purfect Paws. I live in School Aycliffe with my husband and my three cats, Lucy, Murphy and Ferdie. With a background of 15 years in Primary School Teaching, I am now also a fully qualified cat groomer.

I truly believe that a groomed cat is a happy cat. It is an important part of a cat’s health, hygiene and overall well-being whether it is long or short-haired. It makes them feel better and look better. A routine groom also helps to prevent mats, and examine your cat’s coat, teeth, eyes, ears and nail health for any health problems.

Many people believe that cats are one of the cleanest creatures on the planet that are constantly washing and grooming themselves and that they do not need any human intervention. Unfortunately, this is not always true and many do benefit from human grooming.

Grooming removes unwanted hair, prevents hair balls, improves blood circulation and prevents and removes matting, all of which help to keep your cats coat in a healthy condition so everyone benefits.

Pinkys Purfect Paws is a specialist mobile cat grooming service in the North East of England. This means that we come to you and carry out the groom in your cat’s own environment. This is especially helpful for those cats who struggle with car journeys and salon or vet visits. We understand that sometimes cat owners have busy lives and do not always have enough time, skills or patience to groom their own cats. Some cats simply do not like to groom themselves and do not like being groomed by their owners or simply have so much fur that they struggle to maintain it themselves.

As cats get older, they can become less active and less able to groom themselves. All of this is where Pinkys Purfect Paws can help. We are not focussed on making your cat pretty or perfect but simply by making them more healthy and more comfortable.

With extensive experience working with cats of all ages during training and the last 6 months, from kittens to elderly cats, your cat’s well-being is my priority.
